Please follow the instructions below to start using the SGMP Central Florida App today!

  1. Go to your App Store and search for “SGMP Central Florida”
  2. Download the App. It should ask you for a password which is “sgmpcfc”
  3. Once downloaded, open the SGMP app and log-in using your LinkedIn, Facebook or Twitter account

SGMP Central Florida Chapter - Nominate the Planner and Supplier of the Year

The Central Florida Chapter of Society of Government Meeting Professionals is proud to announce the annual awards to recognize outstanding Chapter members who are currently either a planner or supplier.

The award is presented to those who exemplify the highest qualities of leadership and professionalism in their current position and who display devotion to the success of SGMP as an active member, as well as participating in other voluntary associations, civic, and community activities.

Please use the form below to nominate who you think deserves these special awards. Don't delay- all nominations must be in by November 15, 2013! Members will be able to vote for the winners the end of November via the web.

Member Spotlight: Brett Kolmetz

Brett Kolmetz, formerly the Government & Association Sales Manager of the Hilton UF Conference Center, was recently appointed to Business Development at Plaza Hotel Suites brand of hotels located in Gainesville, Jacksonville, Hutchinson Island, and Boca Raton. He is also the co- manager of the Paramount Plaza, Gainesville, FL, overseeing the revenue operations of the hotel.

Brett is a 14 year hospitality veteran with experience at several venues, including: Universal Orlando Resort, Universal Studios Hollywood/Wolfgang Puck Catering, Marriott/Renaissance, Hyatt, Embassy Suites, and Hilton.

The youngest of six children in a career military family, Brett has his roots firmly planted in Florida as his ancestors settled in Washington County around 1854.

He studied history and humanities at Florida State University, but feels at home in the Gator Swamp. Brett's hobbies include watching college football, fishing, reading, and watching classic movies and TV sitcoms.
