Laurel Brown

Laurel (Laurie) Brown is a Marketing and Program Coordinator at UF/TREEO. In this role she coordinates course and instructor logistics, and she provides marketing for all of UF/TREEO’s courses and events. Laurie also enjoys working on special projects for the Center because of the variety they offer and for relationship building opportunities she has with others both in and out of the University community. Laurie has worked at the University of Florida since 1997 and has been with the TREEO Center since 2004. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising and a Master of Arts degree in Organizational Management.

Laurie currently serves as the Immediate Past President of the Central Florida Society of Government Meeting Professionals (SGMP).

Laurie really enjoys the challenges and opportunities that exist in the leadership roles she has held, both professionally and personally through the years. She is especially appreciative of learning new things and the need for continuous self-improvement and personal growth. Laurie feels that it is important for people feel involved and connected, and she looks for opportunities to accomplish that.

Dana Brownlee

An energetic and innovative corporate trainer, speaker and workshop facilitator Dana leverages years of corporate and management consulting experience to help individuals and teams reach new levels of performance. She garnered critical team leadership and management consulting experience through her years with AT&T Bell Labs, AT&T, IBM Consulting, and EMC Corporation. Carol Hinton

Carol is responsible for all administrative, financial, promotional and programming areas at UF/TREEO. She has been employed at UF/TREEO for nearly 25 years. Prior to joining UF/TREEO, she worked in marketing research for a national retail organization.

She is President of the Florida Section American Water Resources Association, Florida Section American Water Works Association Region XI leadership team, a founding board member of the Florida/Caribbean Green Meeting Industry Council, a member of Society of Government Meeting Professionals and Florida Water Environment Association. She served as vice-chair for the communication committee for the APEX green meetings standards panel that was tasked with setting standards for green meetings for the US EPA.

Carol holds a bachelor of science in business and a master of business administration from Murray State University, Murray, KY and is passionate about all things “GREEN”.

Ann Koralewski, CMP, CGMP, MS

Ms. Koralewski is the Public Functions Coordinator for the University of Florida Health Science Center (HSC). Her position entails event planning for the UF&Shands Development Office and the HSC Office of News & Communications. Her position allows for planning of events of all sizes and scope, from groundbreaking ceremonies to ribbon-cutting ceremonies and fundraising galas to board meetings and everything in between. Before joining the HSC Ms. Koralewski was a full service meeting planner for the UF Conference Department. In that role she planned meetings ranging from 35 participants to 1,000 participants and worked with venues all over the country.

She is a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) and a Certified Government Meeting Professional (CGMP). She received her B.S. in Event Planning and her M.S. in Tourism Marketing and Development from UF. Ms. Koralewski also lays claim to an A.S. in Graphic Design. She is an active member and Past President of the Central Florida Chapter of the Society of Government Meeting Professionals (SGMP) and currently a Scholarship and Certification Trustee on the Gilmer Institute of Learning. Ms. Koralewski has been a guest speaker for the Event Planning program at the University of Florida and has spoken on various topics in the field of Meeting and Event Planning at SGMP and Meeting Planner International (MPI) meetings.

 

Kristin Mackey

Prior to her current work, Kristin was a director for a large health-care system. She introduced progressive service-focused programs and implemented extensive internal changes. Jonathan C. McKinney serves as the Director of Group Sales at the Marriott Shoals Hotel & Spa, the #1 ranked Marriott in Guest Satisfaction in 2012.  In this role he has the privilege of leading his sales team and the overall sales functions of the Marriott Shoals.  He is a founding member of the Rocket City Alabama Chapter and was awarded the chapter’s Supplier of the Year award in 2011.  He was recognized as one of the “Top 40 under 40” young leaders “changing the landscape of corporate meetings” by Collaborate Magazine in April/May 2012.  In November he and Kristy will celebrate 11 years of marriage along with their 3 awesome kids and a dog named Jake.

Margaret Ann Pritchard

Margaret Ann Pritchard is a corporate and international protocol consultant.  She is Founder of Manners and Protocol LLC, a Brentwood, Tennessee, company specializing in business etiquette and professional development services for corporations and universities.

She is a requested speaker at numerous engagements including conferences, workshops, professional organizations, and corporate programs throughout the United States.  She has been featured on radio and television, as well as in numerous publications nationwide.

She received both her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science degrees from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. After 20 years in corporate America, she decided to pursue her passion for helping others to become more successful in the business arena. Ned Andrew Solomon

Since December of 2000, Ned Andrew Solomon has been the director of the Partners in Policymaking Leadership Institute and the Tennessee Youth Leadership Forum for the Tennessee Council on Developmental Disabilities. Partners trains persons with disabilities and family members to develop their leadership, advocacy and self-advocacy skills. YLF is a mini-Partners, geared toward high school students with disabilities. Ned is also the father and stepfather of three children with disabilities.

Joanna Tootill, CGMP

Joanna is a Key Account Director for IHG, InterContinental Hotels Group, where she is responsible for developing business within her federal government accounts. Key areas of focus include; account management, education, and leading the sales efforts of IHG’s 4600 hotel portfolio in the government group market.  Joanna has just over 11 years of experience in the hospitality industry with 7 years directly concentrated in the government sales segment. Joanna is an active member of the National Capital chapter of SGMP and resides in Washington, DC.

 

 

Rob Coffman, CGMP

Rob has over 20 years of experience in the hospitality and meeting/events industry. He has held various sales and catering positions with several hotel companies including Holiday Inn, Wyndham Hotels and Resorts, Hilton and Hospitality Partners. This included a position as Corporate Director of Sales and Marketing for 13 properties in the DC metropolitan area. Since 2003 Rob has worked in the Office of Special Events at the U.S. Department of the Treasury in Washington, DC. He is responsible for all events and meetings involving Secretary of the Treasury. Rob and his team handle a multitude of events and conferences ranging from press conferences and swearing-in ceremonies to high-profile, large scale international events/conferences. One of his primary responsibilities is handling all meeting logistics and protocol details for the G-7 and G-20 Finance Ministers’ Summits and APEC Meetings. He is also currently leading a multi-agency working group/initiative to implement a Strategic Meeting Management (SMM) Program.

Over the years Rob has been an active member and board member of several industry associations, most notably NACE, SGTP and SGMP. He also served on HSMAI’s Affordable Meetings Planner Advisory Board for two terms. Rob has a passion for history and current events and serves as a docent for the Treasury building and a past board member of the Treasury Historical Association.

Within the Society of Government Meeting Professionals (SGMP) Rob has served in a variety of positions, both on the chapter and national level. These include: chapter treasurer, second vice president and president as well as vice chair of the SLR, chair of the chapter presidents roundtable and national first vice president. He had the opportunity and privilege to participate in the pilot course of the CGMP program, receiving his certification with the 2005 inaugural class.  Rob is currently serving his second term as SGMP’s national president.
