Laurel Brown

Laurel Brown, is a Marketing and Program Coordinator at UF/TREEO. In this role she plans the meeting and instructor logistics for a series of training courses; she also provides marketing for all of UF/TREEO’s courses and events. She is currently the project manager for the Florida Water Conservation Certificate Program and is working with a team to finalize the series and launch it online, as well as bring many other courses and certificate programs online for UF/TREEO.

Laurel has a varied training background, her experiences include substitute teaching for grades K-12, teaching a series of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint classes through the community education department at Santa Fe College, developing and offering a training session on managing change for a local accounting firm, and she also is a past Wood Badge attendee and Guide. Wood Badge is a premier training course for adults from the Boy Scouts of America. Other training opportunities that Laurel has been involved in include numerous workshops on leadership, communication, and building relationships.

Laurel has worked at the University of Florida since 1997 and has been with the TREEO Center since 2004. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising and a Master of Arts degree in Organizational Management.
