Brett Kolmetz, formerly the Government & Association Sales Manager of the Hilton UF Conference Center, was recently appointed to Business Development at Plaza Hotel Suites brand of hotels located in Gainesville, Jacksonville, Hutchinson Island, and Boca Raton. He is also the co- manager of the Paramount Plaza, Gainesville, FL, overseeing the revenue operations of the hotel.
Brett is a 14 year hospitality veteran with experience at several venues, including: Universal Orlando Resort, Universal Studios Hollywood/Wolfgang Puck Catering, Marriott/Renaissance, Hyatt, Embassy Suites, and Hilton.
The youngest of six children in a career military family, Brett has his roots firmly planted in Florida as his ancestors settled in Washington County around 1854.
He studied history and humanities at Florida State University, but feels at home in the Gator Swamp. Brett’s hobbies include watching college football, fishing, reading, and watching classic movies and TV sitcoms.
